Important Pre-Installation 

Notes BEFORE INSTALLATION, PLEASE READ

  • USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. 
  • These devices are intended for OFF-ROAD VEHICLES ONLY. 
  • Do not attempt to read the stock file using AutoCal. Contact your dealership for a reflash if you need a stock file.

Installation Steps:

  1. Attach the OBD2 cable to the AutoCal device.
  2. Insert the opposite end into the vehicle’s OBD2 port.
  3. Power up the device, access the Tune menu, and press Enter.
  4. Opt for the Tuning option.
  5. Choose the Program Full feature.
  6. Pick the Calibration file suitable for your AutoCal device.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to finalize the installation process.

Special Instructions

For 2007-2012 Cummins Trucks:

Important: Prior to installing the tune file, make sure to install the patch file initially. Neglecting this step could result in the corruption of the factory PCM, potentially causing problems that may necessitate towing the vehicle to a dealership for a factory re-flash.

Cummins Specific Instructions:

  1. Find the intake air throttle valve situated on the driver’s side of the engine, beneath the intake near the intercooler pipe.
  2. Ensure that you “unplug” this valve. Failure to do so may result in it sticking closed, leading to improper truck operation or increased revving.
  3. If you’re uncertain about the location or the process of unplugging, it may be complex. Consider seeking assistance from a knowledgeable expert if unsure.

Duramax Specific Instructions:

  1. Prior to tuning, “unplug” the intake air throttle valve positioned on the passenger side of the engine, beneath the hood to the left of the Alternator.
  2. For LML 11-16 trucks:
    • Disconnect both EGR Valves. The first valve is located on the driver’s side, and the other is on the passenger side of the Engine.
    • Additionally, make sure to unplug the intake air throttle valve. Failure to do so could result in truck malfunction or failure to rev up.

Calibration Adjustments: 

Each truck is unique. If the calibration on your EFILIVE AutoCal V3 requires fine-tuning, reach out to info@thedpfdelete.com for a personalized calibration. 

Provide the following vehicle specifics:

  • Year/Make/Model
  • Full VIN
  • Transmission Type
  • Transfer Case Type: Manual or SOTF
  • Fuel Tank: Single or Double
  • Tire Size (GM or Chevrolet only)
  • Modifications
